Disorder; upheaval; tumult; chaos. Lack of clearness or distinctness; perplexity; bewilderment. Lack of understanding; uncertainty; the state of being bewildered or unclear in one’s mind about something. Those are definitions of confusion . People everywhere are living in a perpetual state of confusion in our world today . People—outside… and inside the church . 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us that God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. In all the churches of the saints is a key phrase here. It doesn’t say in all the churches . All churches are not “churches of the saints”, those whom God deems true saints. God is not a God of confusion in all the churches of the saints, but He does confuse His enemies. God does not give peace to His enemies (unbelievers). Sheep + people= sheeple. Used in a derogatory way, the masses use this word to refer to anyone who is a “dummy following a person or ideology without knowing why they’re following said person or ideology.” According to Merriam-Webster, however, the actual definition is: “people who are docile, compliant, or easily influenced: people likened to sheep.” “Harumph!” say most people who do not want to be compared to sheep—but sheeple is what we are. She walked into Bible study carrying her bejeweled Joyce Meyers’ Bible cover, coffee cup, and tote bag filled with only God knows what other JM novelties. She hugged me with sincere exuberance on our first encounter, just for my “allowing her to come into my home for Bible study.” I had no idea what she had heard or what she was expecting, but it was easy to love this woman in an instant. Her charisma was contagious. So hungry for truth, she drank up the teaching that morning as I can only imagine the followers of Jim Jones drank the Kool-Aid of
